The new security controller offers intelligent security features for outdoor applications
The control system and I/O X90 for mobile equipment is now available with integrated security technology. Intelligent safety features and extremely short response times are the key to a new field of possibilities for safe operation of outdoor plants and mobile machinery.
The control system meets the requirements of mobile machinery ISO 13849 to PL d, as well as the requirements ISO 25119 up to agpl d. The 48 I/O channels of the X90 controller can be used where appropriate for safe or unsafe functions or combinations of the two. The controller housing is extremely robust and has IP69K protection.
Secure communication
With openSAFETY protocol independent of the bus , the secure X90 system offers the option of connecting secure decentralized I/O or sensors. For this, B&R strongly recommends the use of POWERLINK, the industrial Ethernet capable in real time. The communication corresponds to SIL 3 and is also secured via wireless unsafe modems.
Central security software system
B&R provides pre-certified software components for a variety of TÜV security features. The task of security programming itself is reduced to a simple configuration and linking of secure software blocks through the ladder diagram. The manufacturer of the machine only has to demonstrate to TÜV that this work has been carried out in accordance with the guidelines for safe development. This reduces the complexity, workload and time required for certification.
